About Kent Barton
Kent Barton (1961- ) has lived and loved Queensland all his life, and this is reflcted in his unique whimsical pictures. Kent's striking colourful style has attracted many art lovers locally and internationally, and he has won numerous Art Awards along the way. Kent works in a variety of mediums - painting, pastel, sculpture and printmaking. Completing Art College in 1981, Kent followed a career in graphic design for advertising, newspaper and printing. In 1993, Kent decided to follow his heart and began producing and selling his own artworks. Kent currently lives in Agnes Water with his family. Kent and wife Lisa own and operate The Lovely Cottages (formerly LaLaLand Eco-Holiday Retreat) with an outdoor art gallery, and the Discover 1770 Information and Tours shop.
